About Me

Born and raised in Brooklyn New York, Karston “Skinny” Tannis has always possessed an affinity for visual arts and exploration. Karston was introduced to photography and film through his active participation in the New York City BMX scene as a way to document the adventure. Currently residing Brooklyn, you can find Karston coasting around on his BMX bike, or capturing the essence and energy of various socialites in numerous scenes and subcultures.
The current submission of work consists of portraits and landscapes that capture surreal energy of moments in time. My goal with each photo is to capture an honest energy of the world around me and the people in it.
